The Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics program is designed to develop your ability to analyze many types of complex economic problems that corporations and public sector agencies need to tackle. This is achieved by combining theoretical knowledge in economics with practical skills of the field.
The program is organized in 145 credit hours course work which includes several seminars, senior essay and senior year internship. During your four years stay you will also get the fundamental knowledge and skills in area of micro and macro economics, accounting, industrial economics, agricultural economics, business ethics, business law, business strategy, finance, managerial economics and entrepreneurship.
A graduate from the department of Economics can get employment in a wide range of industries such as in banks, insurance companies, hospitals as Financial Advisory firms, Investment Banks, Public offices, Retail industries, HR Manager and Business Consulting firms.

For BA candidates
If you would like to join our Bachelor of Arts Degree program in the Department of Economics, you should have a diploma, another Bachelor degree or a high school completion certificate with the required passing marks or cumulative grade point average (CGPA). Undergraduate Programs: Students enrolling in undergraduate programs are required to pay 36,000 Birr, ensuring access to a quality education that prepares them for professional careers.
